2022 Lincoln Aviator Overview
The Aviator delivers all of the luxury and performance of the Navigator SUV but in a midsized package. It features an upscale design inside and out, includes many advanced technologies and even gives you the option of a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Updates for the 2022 Lincoln Aviator now available at Caruso Ford Lincoln include expanded standard equipment across all trim levels, two new exterior colors—Bronze Smoke and Gilded Green—and a new appearance package that adds special wheels and more.
Exterior - 2022 Lincoln Aviator
The 2022 Lincoln Aviator in Long Beach is a midsize four-door SUV. The wheelbase is 119.1 inches, and the overall length is 199.3 inches, which is approximately 16.6 feet. The width without side mirrors is 82.3 inches. The height without roof rails is 69.6 inches, and the ground clearance is 8.4 inches. The Standard model features 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, roof rails, a power liftgate and keyless entry. New for this year at Caruso Ford Lincoln is an appearance package that makes the base model look more like the Reserve. If you do opt for the Reserve, you get those same additions, such as 20-inch wheels and a sunroof, but also a hands-free power liftgate. The Lincoln Black Label adds 22-inch wheels, and both Lincoln Black Label models have, as the name suggests, a more blacked-out aesthetic than the others.
Interior - 2022 Lincoln Aviator in Long Beach CA
Our Lincoln dealership serving Long Beach Cerritos Torrance Los Angeles gives you the choice of either seven- or eight-passenger seating. The Standard model has a 35/30/35 bench seat in the second row and thus seating for eight in a 2-3-3 configuration. The Reserve, Grand Touring and Lincoln Black Label models all have captain’s chairs in the second row and thus seating for seven in a 2-2-3 configuration. All three upper trim levels give you the option of the second-row bench seat, and regardless of which seating type you choose, it features power tip-and-slide release for easier ingress and egress. The total passenger volume is 144.7 cubic feet. Front headroom is 41.5 inches, and front legroom is 43.0 inches. Second-row legroom is 40.1 inches, and third-row legroom is 29.2 inches. The dedicated cargo area measures 18.3 cubic feet, and you can access either 41.8 or 77.7 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.
Mechanical - Lincoln Aviator specs in Long Beach
Wheel sizes range from 19 to 22 inches. All models have an 18-inch mini spare wheel. Rear-wheel drive is standard with the gas powertrain. All-wheel drive is optional and standard with the hybrid powertrain. Starting with the Reserve trim level, any model with 22-inch wheels or all-wheel drive has an adaptive suspension that improves both handling and ride comfort. The 2022 Lincoln Aviator in Long Beach also gives you the option of an adaptive air suspension that uses a dozen advanced sensors to monitor the road and adjust ride height automatically to account for potholes and other potential hazards.
Powertrain - Lincoln Aviator specs in Long Beach CA
Every 2022 Lincoln Aviator in Long Beach has a sophisticated 10-speed automatic transmission that has received substantial critical praise for its smooth shifting and acceleration. The Standard, Reserve and Lincoln Black Label models have a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine with automatic start-stop technology. The base V6 is rated for 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Both Grand Touring models instead have a plug-in hybrid version of that powertrain, and it is rated for 494 hp and 630 lb.-ft. Maximum towing capacity ranges from 5,600 to 6,700 pounds. If you require the additional towing power, then you will want to opt for the standard powertrain with the Class IV Trailer Tow package.
Safety - 2022 Lincoln Aviator dealer
The 2022 Lincoln Aviator earned a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA, and while it has not yet been reviewed by the IIHS, that organization has previously recognized this Aviator generation as a Top Safety Pick. All models come standard with the Co-Pilot360 system. It adds automatic headlamps and high beams, a rearview camera system, forward collision detection and warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and lane keeping assist. The Co-Pilot360 Plus package is optional with the Reserve and standard beyond that point. It adds adaptive cruise control, lane centering, evasive steering assist and an automated parking system.
