2022 Lincoln Aviator Overview
Lincoln has designed its Aviator model to provide a luxury experience on par with the Navigator but in a more compact, midsize form factor. Highlights include an upscale cabin, an available hybrid powertrain, an available adaptive suspension and many advanced technologies and amenities. Standard Trim
The Standard is the first of the 2022 Lincoln Aviator trim levels. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available. It has a 400-horsepower V6 under the hood, and Lincoln pairs it with a 10-speed shiftable transmission. This model has a second-row bench and thus seating for eight. Notable exterior features include LED headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and a power liftgate. Push-button start and keyless access are standard. Cabin enhancements include premium cloth seating, power-adjustable front seating, tri-zone automatic climate control and a 10.1-inch touch screen. Driver-assistance technologies include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist.
Reserve Trim
The Reserve may be the most popular of the 2022 Lincoln Aviator trim levels in Long Beach because it adds popular equipment and opens up additional options at only a modest uptick in starting price. This trim level includes 20-inch wheels standard, but you get the adaptive suspension included at no additional charge if you opt for either all-wheel drive or 22-inch wheels. This model is also notable in that it includes captain’s chairs in the second row and thus seating for seven, but you can opt for the bench seat if you prefer. Other notable upgrades include premium leather upholstery, quad-zoned climate control, a power-adjustable steering wheel, a 14-speaker audio system, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a hands-free liftgate, a 360-degree camera and a HUD.
Black Label Trim
There are a number of optional packages available for the Reserve, and the Black Label includes them as standard equipment. The Lincoln Co-Pilot360 1.5 Plus group adds evasive steering assist, an advanced lane-keeping system, adaptive cruise control and an automated parking system. The Elements Package Plus group adds heated and ventilated seating in the first and second row, a heated steering and heated windshield wipers. The Luxury group adds 30-way power-adjustable front seats and a 28-speaker audio system. You also have a Dynamic Handling option that adds an adaptive air-ride suspension.
Grand Touring Trim
The Grand Touring is equipped liked the Black Label for the most part minus the Black Label-specific perks, which we’ll discuss with the next trim. The main difference is that this is the first model to include all-wheel drive and the first model to feature or even offer the hybrid powertrain. That powertrain has a 3.0-liter turbocharged hybrid V6 that makes 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque.
Black Label Grand Touring Trim
The Black Label Grand Touring is the most premium option among all of the 2022 Lincoln Aviator trim levels available. It differs from the other builds in that it includes practically every option available for the Aviator. Most of the exceptions are simply redundancies. This does build off the Grand Touring package in that it features the turbocharged hybrid powertrain. It also gets the Black Label treatment. Black Label membership is intended to deliver the ultimate Lincoln ownership experience. It includes pickup and delivery services, some free maintenance, exclusive special offers and a point system that lets you acquire various products and services.
